Email beats App Store reviews because we can actually fix things over email. App Store reviews go to a queue we cannot reply to directly, but we still read every star and use the TestFlight feedback channel to triage builds.
If something is broken, include your iOS version, app version (Settings then About inside the app), and a sentence on what you expected versus what happened. Screenshots help. If you suspect the AI gave bad feedback, the in-app report button is the right path.

When you start a session, the app captures audio from your iPhone microphone using AVFoundation. Real-time filler detection runs entirely on-device through Apple's Speech framework and our own acoustic analyzer. After the session ends, if you tap Analyze and have accepted the in-app AI disclosure, the audio is sent over TLS to our authenticated proxy and on to OpenAI's Whisper for the final transcript, then the transcript is sent to Anthropic Claude for feedback. Audio is never stored by us or by either AI provider.
Fillers like um, uh, and like are not the enemy. They are signals. When you can hear yourself reach for one in real time, you start choosing pauses instead. Two minutes a day for two weeks is usually enough to see the count drop in half.
Open iOS Settings, tap Impromptly, and confirm Microphone is on. If you also use the Filler-Free Challenge, confirm Speech Recognition is on in the same screen. If permissions look fine and the level meter still does not move when you talk, force-quit the app and relaunch. If a Bluetooth headset is connected, try unpairing once. If it still fails, email hello@impromptly.ai with your iOS version and iPhone model so we can repro.
The Impromptly Score blends filler count, words-per-minute, pauses, and AI structure feedback. AI is not perfect and the score can disagree with how the rep felt. Tap the flag icon next to any feedback line to report it. We read every report and use them to retune the model. If a specific filler was missed or falsely flagged, the in-app voice calibration step in Settings teaches the detector your voice and usually fixes it within one or two sessions.
Apple handles billing for in-app purchases. Open the iOS Settings app, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, find Impromptly, and tap Cancel. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. The same Manage Subscription button is also inside the app at Settings then Manage Subscription. We never gate cancellation behind a phone call or a hidden flow.
Apple processes all refunds for App Store purchases. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with the Apple ID that bought the subscription, find Impromptly in your purchase list, and request a refund. We do not see your card and cannot refund directly. If Apple declines and you believe the charge was a mistake, email hello@impromptly.ai and we will write a supporting note for your appeal.
Inside the app: Settings then Delete account. One tap, one confirmation, done. For Sign in with Apple users, deletion also revokes our access to your Apple credential server-side. We purge all linked records within 30 days from primary storage and within 90 days from encrypted backups. You can also email hello@impromptly.ai from the address on your account and we will process the deletion manually.
Every feedback card has a flag icon. Tap it, pick a reason, and the transcript plus feedback are sent to us for review. We read every report. AI output is never perfect. Telling us when it goes sideways is how we tighten the moderation layer.
On the sign-in screen, tap the black Sign in with Apple button. iOS prompts you to confirm the email you want to share, real or relayed. We never see your Apple ID password. If you previously signed up with a different email and want to switch to Sign in with Apple, email us so we can merge the accounts cleanly.
