Terms of service.

Last updated April 27, 2026.

These terms govern your use of Impromptly, the iOS app and the web product at impromptly.ai (the “Service”), operated by Manthan Patel (“we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Impromptly. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed these terms with you.

2. Your account

You are responsible for activity on your account. Use a current email address. Do not share credentials. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app at Settings → Delete account, or by emailing hello@impromptly.ai. Deletion is permanent.

3. Subscriptions and payments

Impromptly Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple's standard EULA for licensed application end users applies to the iOS app and is available here. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel your subscription in the iOS Settings app under your Apple ID. Refund requests go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to harass any person, including by misusing AI feedback to attack a third party.
  • Upload or record content that is illegal, infringes intellectual property, or sexualizes minors.
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute the topic library, the AI feedback output, or any other component of the Service.
  • Reverse-engineer the app, defeat rate limits, or attempt to extract provider API keys.
  • Use the Service to make safety-critical decisions. Impromptly is a practice tool, not a clinical or diagnostic product.

5. AI feedback

Feedback shown by Impromptly is generated by AI models and may be wrong, incomplete, or surprising. Treat it as a draft second opinion, not professional speech therapy or a medical assessment. You can report any feedback you find unsafe, biased, or inaccurate by tapping the report icon next to it.

6. Intellectual property

We own the Service, including the topic library, branding, copy, sound design, and code. You own the audio you record and the transcript text we generate from it. You grant us a limited license to process those materials solely to provide the Service.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that create risk for other users or for the platform. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, governing law) will survive.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that scoring is medically meaningful, that AI feedback is accurate, or that the Service will be uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or one hundred US dollars, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.

11. Changes

We will update these terms when the Service or our practices change. Material changes will trigger an in-app notice. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.

12. Contact
